Ah, the “golden years,” the “wisdom of age,” the “best time of your life.” And ugh to having it ruined by an old worn out body! Who over the age of 45 does not wish for the body of a young adult? But time goes on and bodies age and wear out.

The effects of age on a body are physical. Getting old is natural. It happens to everybody. But since there are physical reasons for aging, many of the aches and pains and distress placed on a body due to the effects of time can be slowed, alleviated or even reversed by making physical changes. Drugs that mask symptoms are not the answer. Fixing the damage to the body is much more workable.

One therapy for changing the effects of aging is called BHRT, which stands for Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy. With BHRT, a doctor does medical tests and makes a diagnosis to determine which hormones are being produced in insufficient quantities and replaces those hormones with bioidentical hormones – hormones that are not substitutes for, but match exactly the hormones the body produces. When supplied in the exact needed amounts, a person can feel and look younger and get rid of many symptoms of old age.

The processes of BHRT are three:

1. Diagnosis by a physician to determine what is wrong – e.g. overweight, loss of libido, memory loss, etc.

2. Diagnostic tests to find out how much of specific hormones are being produced by the glandular system.

3. Supplying the body with sufficient amounts of the hormones that are lacking.

Excess body weight, low energy, bad memory, hot flashes, “the jitters,” and many other symptoms are not something that one wants to carry from age 40 or 50 or 60 for the rest of one’s life. By following the medical plan for hormone replacement, these symptoms gradually lessen over time and often disappear completely.

The concept of this therapy is on living an active life in later years rather than on living a very long life.

When hormone replacement therapy is combined with proper nutrition and exercise, the results can be astounding. There’s no need for you to feel old, crotchety, forgetful and slow. Do something about it, and enjoy life with your grandchildren!
